Ice Cream Truck = Crack

Why can kids hear the ice cream truck from blocks away? Do they have super hearing or is the music designed specifically so that only kids can hear it? As of late we have an ice cream truck that comes nightly around the neighborhood and my kids go NUTS!!!!!! As soon it pulls onto our street and Shaun hears the truck he is begging to get ice cream and when Shae hears it she yells "I Keem" and takes the ottoman over to the window so she can see the ice cream truck. If we tell Shaun no to the ice cream truck he literally has a melt down (no pun intended) and freaks out and cries. I really think the driver is putting something in the ice cream (not far fetched, check out this link and read number 2: http://www.calculateme.com/car-insurance-articles/ice-cream-truck-stories.htm) so that the kids will be hooked and buy more the next time he comes around. I can't wait till winter so this dam truck will stop coming around.

I remember the ice cream truck from my kiddo days. What we wouldn't do for a $1 for some funky flavored ice cream cone. Luckily, ice cream trucks don't cruise our subdivision ... at least they haven't yet.

PLEASE NO ... DON'T REMIND THEM THEY'RE FORGETTING ME!

My girls are teens and they still get twitchy when the ice cream truck sings its favorite tune! This post was hilarious!

it really is true...

one weekend I was mowing, shut the mower off to hear the damn ice cream man, I've never tried to start that lawn mower so quick in my life. They still heard him. *kicks ground*

LOL! Back in the day, my brother and I would have the same reaction! I remember one time, we were blocks from our house, when we heard the ice cream man. You never saw two kids run so fast! LOL!

You know, just a few years ago, my cousin, her boyfriend and I were sitting around watching t.v. one summer evening, when all of a sudden we heard it. "The ice cream man!" Anthony shrieked. Before we knew it, we had all raced out of the house and down the block. It's true what they say, "Old habits die hard." Meanwhile, I did have me a really good Bomb Pop...

Wow, your ice cream truck is NICE!! Ours is disgusting, and the man who drives it looks a bit scary too... We avoid it usually, and my kids have long stopped asking after hearing "no" all of the time! They do announce when he's coming though, and watch him drive by. =)

Isn't it amazing how they can hear the ice cream truck from blocks away but can't hear you when you tell them to go to sleep!

I HATE the Ice Cream Man! He comes around at least once a day, sometimes 2 or 3. Yours looks nice though, ours is super ghetto. You'd think with all the money he robs from the kids he could afford a new paint job at least!

Now you got me thinking on a post lol. I'm gonna have to snap a picture of the ghetto truck lol
