Shaun got us all hooked on a cartoon called Avatar - The Last Airbender on Nickelodeon and we have seen every episode. When Melinda and I went to see Transformers last night we saw a trailer for The Last Airbender by M. Night Shyamalan coming out Summer 2010. Not sure if anyone has ever seen the cartoon but it is really good and from what I can see from the trailer it looks like the movie should be good also. If you get a chance to catch the cartoon on Nick check it.

Why can kids hear the ice cream truck from blocks away? Do they have super hearing or is the music designed specifically so that only kids can hear it? As of late we have an ice cream truck that comes nightly around the neighborhood and my kids go NUTS!!!!!! As soon it pulls onto our street and Shaun hears the truck he is begging to get ice cream and when Shae hears it she yells "I Keem" and takes the ottoman over to the window so she can see the ice cream truck. If we tell Shaun no to the ice cream truck he literally has a melt down (no pun intended) and freaks out and cries. I really think the driver is putting something in the ice cream (not far fetched, check out this link and read number 2: http://www.calculateme.com/car-insurance-articles/ice-cream-truck-stories.htm) so that the kids will be hooked and buy more the next time he comes around. I can't wait till winter so this dam truck will stop coming around.
I saw this really cool video on the Livestrong website and thought I would pass it on. It is very powerful!!!!! I am a huge cyclist and cycling fan and a huge fan of Lance Armstrong and really like what he is doing for the sport of cycling as well as cancer research. We need more people like him in this world.

The Cooper Canyon 1312 has other cool features like a removable room divider which creates two rooms if you want, six large zippered windows, detachable awning, and two large D style doors that offer private entry into each room. The other really cool feature is the E Cord zipper entry by each D style door which allows you to run a power to the tent via an extension cord and inside the tent but keeps the cord out of the doorway which is super convenient.

Why is it that kids ask so many questions and out of the blue to boot? I know the answer but I find it absolutely amazing at the questions my 6 year old son asks and I laugh at his timing.
We were on our way to the library last night and out of nowhere my son asks me “Dad, How many speeding tickets have you gotten?” My first reaction was to check to see if I was speeding at the time and if that is why he was asking. After I realized I was within the speed limit (this time) I told my son none knowing I have probably gotten at least 6-8 tickets in my lifetime. After he thought about it for a few seconds he said “Dad, I remember you saying you have gotten speeding tickets before.” How the heck does he remember things like this? He forgets everything else I ask or tell him to do but he remembers I have gotten speeding tickets in the past. Is my past driving history so important to my six year old son! After laughing at the speeding ticket interrogation from my son the flood gates open and the questions come one after the other like can we get ice cream, where are we going, why are we going to the mall, what are we getting at the mall, what time are we picking up Sabreena, are we having ice cream when we get home, can I play Wii, DS or Xbox 360 when we get home, can I watch a show, how about a movie. I am not joking, he asking non stop questions from the time we left the house until we got home.
I don’t mind my son asking me questions or answering his question because I know he is curious and I am molding his little mind like putty. I just wish he could space his questions out a little bit. Everyone have a great weekend!!!!
